Each week, I’ll be posting a list of the most news-worthy and/or inspirational, informative, well-written, thought-provoking, and/or unique posts of the week. While every post and every contributor is valuable to our community, these are the blogs that I feel are must-reads.
(Sorry this is a little late. I’ve got a mild case of the flu and it’s making me lazy.)

First Anti-Discrimination, Then Marriage Equality!- by Jordan

    Why I chose this post:

Jordan explains why states, and same-sex couples, may benefit from focusing on anti-discrimination rights before fighting for equal marriages. In a time where so much attention and money is spent on marriage, Jordan’s argument is worth taking a look at.

    Thank You MTV- by KarachiYWOCLC

Anti-Bullying Laws: Why The Naysayers Are Wrong- by Jordan

    Why I chose this post:

Anti-bullying laws are one of the best ways to help protect young people. That’s why it’s important that when we advocate for these laws and policies, we are able to explain why these protections are so necessary and why the arguments against them are hollow. Jordan, who has done extensive work on anti-bullying legislation, provides an outline for defending anti-bullying laws.

Miss California Teen USA Crown Dedicated “Love is Louder” Movement to Stop Teenage Bullying- by Peter_Young

    Why I chose this post:

Peter Young, the crown designer for the Miss California USA organization, writes about how the most recent Miss CA crown was designed in conjunction with the “Love is Louder” Movement, a movement focused on ending teen bullying. He writes about the bullying he experienced as a teen, how he designed the crown, and what the Miss California Teen USA organization is doing in partnership with “Love is Louder” to end teen bullying.

Thank you to everyone who posted a blog this week! You are part of what makes this community great!
