The Life Zone: Anti-Choice Horror Movie Is An Insult to Young People- by dandaman6007

Inside this post:

Kenneth Del Vecchio, a Republican candidate for the New Jersey State Senate, has made a film that he describes as “giv[ing] both sides of the coin,” of views on abortion, where the audience will “walk away not knowing what the filmmaker’s position is.”

In the movie, an old white man presides over three young girls who have been kidnapped for committing a great sin: choosing to have an abortion. They are then kept in a dungeon for the remaining seven months and forced to give birth.

Maybe there’s some nuance here that my feeble woman brain isn’t picking up on, but I’m gonna say that’s pretty damn clear.

Kathleen Reeves of RH Reality Check comments on a Catholics for Choice campaign applauding the Pope’s (mild) acceptance of condom use (in certain situations).
