“Going in circles over safety ”
A bill was introduced again this year that would work to reduce the chance of women developing cervical cancer. A HPV vaccination in the teenage years can help keep South Carolina’s high cancer rate down. Some Conservative are afraid that offering the HPVshots to teenagers will give them the notion that it’s ok to engage in sexual activity. Mr. Sellers is the author of the bill and he says that if the vaccine “saves just one life, it’s worth it.”  In honor of …

There is a lot of controversy and debate about school systems and the sexual health education being taught to students. Some schools are reportedly being biased to certain sexual orientations. Some schools are incorrectly educating the actual anatomy and physiology of the female sexual organs. Homosexual teens are being told to seek help and counseling for being openly gay but those who admit to being sexually active aren’t. One School is reported as sharing in a health class that,(and I paraphrase) “If you get AIDs you will die and …

Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia’s Prison systems are being called out for some practices that treat HIV positive prisoners with discrimination. It has been reported that they are forced to wear arm bands and different color inmate suits to make their health status unmistakable. The discriminated prisoners are also forced to miss out on rehabilitation activities that could help them readjust to the real world after release. I think HIV education would greatly affect the way the prison system treats  HIV positive inmates. Everyone should be taught and reminded …

Timothy Brown is the only man known to be cured from HIV. This news is confirmation to my unsupported theory that HIV is curable. Honestly, I thought that Magic Johnson would have been the first to be cured of HIV because of all of his money and resources, but apparently not! Brown was diagnosed with HIV in 1995, and his story was reported in a scientific journal which cited that “gene therapy” as the reason why he was cured. They took genes that were immune to HIV and transfused …

Well, we all know about the birds and the bees story that mom and dad told us when we were young! Notice they say birds and bees, different species. There has to be a woman and man (or their reproductive organs rather) coming together physically to reproduce. Pregnancy can happen anywhere at any time, but it is important to get pregnant when you know that you are ready to take full responsibility for another precious life. So in the mean time and in between time, check with your local …

Sex does not have a mind of its own, but YOU DO. And hopefully your mind is telling you to always practice safe sex using a contraceptive or barrier method. Now in the real world, we know that these options are not always available when we are “in the moment” and in these cases, withdrawal may be necessary, especially if you are having sex unprotected. It mayfeel good, but be smart about it. I know you’ve heard the saying, “when in doubt, pull out”… but just think, you can …

There are multiple studies of MSM (men who have sex with men) in different parts of the world, including China, North Africa, and the United States. This type of activity is condemned by most religions, and some countries have severe consequences for it. Though research is being done to lighten the law, in some countries  MSM are not allowed to donate blood because of the increased risk of HIV among them that could contaminate the blood. Now, I don’t know about you, but this certainly sounds like discrimination towards …

Sexual School
There is a lot of fuss about school systems and what they are teaching students. Some schools are reportedly being biased to certain sexual orientations. Some schools are incorrectly educating the actual anatomy and physiology of the female sexual organs. Homosexual teens are being told to seek help and counseling for being openly gay, but those who admit to being sexually active aren’t. One School reportedly said,(and I paraphrase)” “If you get AIDs, you will die and that’s all we know.” Many parents are logically upset but …

” On Tuesday night protesters gathered in front of a Bridgeport church to let their local Boy Scout leaders know how they felt about a controversial decision.”

The controversy began just last week when a Tiger Scout leader had her membership revoked due to her sexual orientation.
[T]he Boy Scouts of America has a strict policy when it comes to sexual orientation and membership.
“We do not grant membership to individuals who are opened or avowed homosexuals,” said Bob Drury. Drury is the scout executive …

The definition of prostitution is a person who barters sex to the sexual partner, usually accepting cash and sometimes Visa. It seems like we don’t deem prostitution a crime until the person has a large clientele. Pondering upon it, prostitution is probably the most under reported crime because people barter sex for material gain very casually and both parties are almost always satisfied.

If Prostitution was legalized and marketed it could be financially beneficial (occluding the attached spiritual, biological, and moral effects.) Our economy could use some excitement from …

Safety first ,then Sex
The question was asked, “is it safer for prostitution to be legalized?” A sect believes that if prostitution were legal, prostitutes wouldn’t have to work on the radically harmful environment of the streets. Well, I can see that point to a certain extent. A prostitution company legitimized by bureaucrats and red-tape would naturally progress to safety precautions and regulations in the prostitution business. We would see security at the door of a brothel, paperwork involved to solidify consent of all parties, regular sexually transmitted disease …

To keep a males foreskin or to become circumcised is a rising issue. Some say that practicing circumcision is keeping a religious tradition. Frederik Joelving reports,” In September, the Royal Dutch Medical Association discouraged circumcision, calling it a _painful and harmful ritual."Circumcision is a painful process-not that I could remember because I was circumcised at birth.

A birth control method is something that you can use/do, without the help of hormones, to prevent pregnancy or possibly the contraction of STIs. Oral Sex is a form of sex that- if done solely-can avoid vaginal-penile copulation; therefore, it can prevent unintended pregnancy, but not contraction of STIs.

This monolithically disqualifies oral sex from being a birth control option by many authorities on the subject.

(What about the contraceptives, some of them don’t protect against STIs either?)That’s right; most contraceptive methods (except male or female condoms) do not …

In New York, advocates for sex works and their allies are working on a bill that will inhibit  condoms being used as evidence, to convict sex workers  in prostitution cases.

The reason for this advocacy is the health of our neighbor. Several prostitutes have come forth saying they will not carry condoms out of fear, in that  if they get caught with one, it will be used as evidence against them. Carrying condoms is not illegal, but if you’re in the profession of prostitution, you would not want to …

Abstinence Only supporters believe that practicing and preaching chastity, before marriage is the only solution to alarming rates of contraction of STDs, STIs and HPVs. Abstinence only supporters believe that we all ought to keep Gods ordinances; and then we all won’t have sexually transmitted diseases and viruses. For the most part, I concur, but the difference is, I think that all birth control options and forms of contraceptive methods ought to be endorsed, in order to decrease the occurrence of unintended pregnancy and viral infections: Therefore, this plan …

The argument for Abstinence only advocates is that by educating youth on other forms of contraception and birth control we encourage them to become sexually active outside of marriage. I think contraceptives and birth control devices are forms of preventive medicines like Lipitor. Lipitor, by helping lower your cholesterol, prevents heart attack or strokes. Contraceptives and birth control devices help prevent the contraction of STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections), STDs and unintended pregnancy. I don’t think that advocating for all forms of contraception encourages sexual activity any more than Lipitor …

Early in my walk with Christ, I took the Christian bible at its word and strived to be chaste until marriage like many new converts. I was aware of the spiritual repercussions of violating the agreement, but very ignorant toward the corporeal repercussions. I had a hearsay education of STDs and HIiV. I thought I’d definitely recognize someone who had contracted these diseases because of appearance of genitalia, odor and skin mutation. I was dreadfully wrong. I recently learned about HPV or human papillomavirus. Frederik Joeving reports that, “it …

The Abstinence only supporters believes that Abstinence is the only answer to decreasing STI, STD infection and unintended pregnancy. I agree Abstinence is the best, safest and most honorable, in terms of chastity for the unwed, of the choices of contraceptives and birth control.
The argument of Abstinence only is that by educating youth about other contraceptives and birth control methods you send a message that abstinence isn’t the best choice. Abstinence only supporters believes it is counterproductive to advocate for other methods.

I believe that endorsing contraceptives and
