Today, we shall be discussing the decision made by the government to ban the Church of England and the Church of Wales from performing same-sex marriages.
But wait! Hold your horses. Other religious institutions will be allowed to opt-in, but due to strong opposition from the Church of England and of course, ye olde Roman Catholics, same-sex marriages will be illegal in those churches.
How interesting to see that a church whose shining moment in history is being King Henry VIII’s ticket to divorce, would bleat so loudly about the sanctity of marriage.
