If selected, you will have opportunities to: develop new organizing and leadership skills; become informed on sexual and reproductive health issues; connect with passionate young people from across the country; and build skills to make a lasting impact in your community. You will also join more than 100 youth activists in Washington, DC for an intense four-day activist training institute free of charge! All applications are due April 30.

Men on a Mission
US Based College Students

Men On A Mission is a project that seeks to engage young men on issues related to their sexual and reproductive health. This network of young male activists and educators strives to incorporate the perspectives and needs of young men to better mobilize their peers to make responsible decisions. Our goal is to help young men understand and invest in their sexual health. Our actions raise the visibility and voices of young men in sexual health spaces and advocate for the rights and education necessary for young men everywhere to make informed decisions with their futures in mind. Young men that become a part of this program will be given the training, resources, and support necessary to promote positive change among their peers.Applications are due by April 30.

1 in 3 Campaign
US Based College Students

The 1 in 3 Campaign takes its name from the reality that 1 in 3 women in the united States will have an abortion in her lifetime. the campaign aims to destigmatize abortion by creating a new dialogue that puts people at the center of the conversation about abortion rights and access. Members of 1 in 3 student chapters engage in cultural advocacy work to destigmatize abortion and serve as activists, advocates, and spokespeople on abortion access in their community and around the country. Applications are due by April 30.

The International Youth Leadership Council
DC-Area College/University Students

The International Youth Leadership Council (IYLC) consists of college students in the DC metro area interested in international and domestic sexual and reproductive health and rights policy. these youth leaders work to improve U.S. foreign and domestic policy regarding family planning, HIV prevention, comprehensive sex education, abortion access, and LGBTQ health and rights. Council members develop advocacy campaigns, educate and mobilize their peers, conduct policy forums, lobby policy makers, and speak at hill briefings, community events, and conferences. Applications are due by April 30.

Campus Organizing Team
US Based College Students

Campus Organizers is made up of college students from campus organizations across the united States working to mobilize and empower other students in the fight for honest sex education, condom/contraceptive access, abortion rights, the rights of LGBTQ youth, and hiV prevention, among others. Campus organizers serve as activists, advocates, and spokespeople at the local, state, and national level. Applications are due by April 30.

Cultural Advocacy and Mobilization Initiative (CAMI): State Activists
14-24 Year Old Activists in AL, CA, CO, FL, OH, NC, SC or TX

Advocates for Youth works with state youth activists in 8 target states on youth leadership councils, which advocate for comprehensive sex education and other sexual health and rights issues in their communities. Their goal is to mobilize people in their states to fight for honest, responsible sex education and ensure that young people are listened to and have a voice within the debate. Applicants must be 14-24 years of age and reside in Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina or Texas. Applications are due May 20.

Young Women of Color Leadership Council (YWOCLC)
US Based Activists Age 14-24

The Young Women of Color Leadership Council is composed of young leaders and activists who come together to promote a message of prevention and empowerment through a reproductive justice lens. All of the Council’s work is a collaboration of diversity and power, in the hopes of affecting a million more young women of color. The goals of the Council are to educate, include, and empower. Applicants must be US based and age 14-24. Applications are due May 1.

YouthResource GLBTQ Youth Leadership Program
US Based Activists Age 14-24

YouthResource GLBTQ Youth Leadership Program is designed by and for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning (GLBTQ) young people. This program prepares the next generation of GLBTQ leaders. As a participant in the leadership program you will have the opportunity to advance your training, advocacy and mobilization skills. You will provide communities around the country with information, resources and education to address GLBTQ health and rights issues, such as inclusive sex education, GLBTQ  youth-friendly sexual health services, and safe space for queer youth. You will also have the opportunity to serve as an online peer educator, providing affirmation and support to other GLBTQ young people by answering questions posed by visitors, and assist users to find the local resources they need. YouthResource GLBTQ leaders also write blogs, articles, and issue briefs for the YouthResource website, advocate for GLBTQ rights, and present at conferences on GLBTQ issues. Applicants must be US based and age 14-24. Applications are due May 1.
